Captain Steve's Fishing Lodge offers fine Alaska lodging with the most incredible big game fishing on Earth! For GIANT FISH like this New World Record Lingcod:

World Record Lingcod ! ! ! 82.6 Pounds!

Congratulations to Robbie Hammond of Discovery Bay, California!

His record lingcod; an 82.6 pound
beast..!

The story:

Robbie, Allan and their buddy Brent hooked up immediately after their lines went into the water. We were using large lead head jigs. Allan's fish moved back against the current forcing us to motor backward so we knew it was a very big halibut.

The remaining two fish ran the other way.

Ninilchik, Alaska is located a few hours south of Anchorage or 30 minutes north of Homer. Drive or let us pick you up.

Roads are safe and well maintained for an easy drive if you rent a car. If you drive from Washington State or Canada, let us know and we can help plan the drive through Alaska.

We catch giant halibut in the area of Cook Inlet and the Gulf of Alaska. Various salmon species are caught in virtually all local waters; we guide saltwater and freshwater fishing trips in local waters. Nearby streams and lakes as well as the world-famous Kenai River and Kasilof River offer the largest salmon on Earth. Remote lakes and rivers offer even more fishing opportunities.
