Captain Steve's Fishing Lodge
~ World Records ~

Alaska's pristine waters account for many world records. Our location offers fishing in several of the top three or four salmon, trout and stealheading rivers on Earth. The deep waters of Cook Inlet and the Gulf of Alaska hold monster halibut, lingcod and rockfish, the largest of each species found only in Alaskan waters.

The top ten world record king salmon came right out of the Kenai River!

We can take up to 6 passengers per boat/trip, on a fast and comfortable ride (at 30 knots).

Chinook / King Salmon
Les Anderson, Alaskan and resident of Soldotna holds the World Record King Salmon. The official weight in the record books is 97 pounds 4 ounces. The fish was not weighed until several hours after it was caught and Fish & Game estimates that due to evaporative weight loss, the fish may have broken the hundred pound mark if it had been weighed promptly after being caught.

Barn Door Halibut
Fisherman Robbie Hammond of Discovery Bay, California holds the World Record Lingcod which was caught on one of our boats with Captain Steve. It was officially weighed in at 82.6 pounds.
